The Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management is designed for those who are, or intend to be, managers in any part of the food and drink sector. The outcomes of the qualification have been designed to ensure that managers are aware of their role in the establishment of food safety procedures at all stages of the food production process, together with the importance of their role in the management and supervision of food handlers in food safety matters. The qualification reflects appropriate national occupational standards which have been developed by Improve Ltd, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink manufacturing sector.
