The Budget Report Analysis

The widely anticipated Budget Report was announced by the Chancellor on 24 March 2010. With a General Election imminent few surprises were expected and this turned out to be the case. Many of the changes that were announced were clearly pre-election manoeuvres and posturing. The real position whatever the outcome of the Election will become evident later in the year when it is likely an additional Budget will be announced.

Some of the key measures are analyzed in more detail below including those contained in the pre Budget Report which are now due to take effect.
