Park Royal Partnership Group recently organized its first Park Royal Football Tournament, as part of its summer social activities. The tournament took place locally, at the Goals Soccer Centre. The tournament was in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support Charity and was jointly organized with McVities. The evening included a pub type quiz, facilitated from Ian Payne from Sky Sports.
Lakethorne Group Cleaning Services Vs Doherty Baines – 3- 0
14 teams, made up from local businesses took part in the Football Tournament. Each game, lasted about 15 – 20 minutes, and both Lakethorne and Doherty Baines made it to the final. The winner of the first Park Royal Cup was Lakethorne Group Cleaning Services Ltd, a local company providing top quality and competitively priced Management Services to a wide variety of sectors in London and the South East of England. Lakethorne dominated possession since the opening minutes of the final, winning the Park Royal Cup.
The Tournament was followed by a BBQ, drinks and snacks sponsored by Kolak Snack Foods and McVities, as well as a fun pub style quiz facilitated by Ian Payne from Sky Sports. The winning team was Hodders Solicitors, followed by Asperity Employee Benefits 2 and Park Royal Partnership.
The evening also included a prize draw competition in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support, with a variety for prizes. Unitrust Protection Services, one of the largest security businesses in the local community, won the star prize of the draw – a short spa break for 2 in the Algarve. Paul Griffin, from UniTrust Protection Services said: ‘We are delighted to have won such a good prize, but what’s more important is that this was truly a great event, and an opportunity for UniTrust to network with other local businesses, as well as to thank all of our employees for doing such a great job every day of the year.’

The Park Royal Football Cup may become a bit of a tradition, to give every local business the opportunity to participate. The tournament was sponsored by McVities and we look forward to being approached by other local businesses, to jointly organize such fun events to raise funds for a good cause, as well as to entertain the local businesses and promote networking in the local community, that we are passionate about. So far, the Park Royal Partnership raised more than £510 for the MacMillan Cancer Support Charity through online donations as well as the sale of raffle tickets on the evening.
