• Tackling crime and safety through work with the police, improving security measures and creating safer public areas,
• Promoting high quality development of sites, buildings and the public realm,
• Implementing physical improvements to business areas including frontages, lighting, drainage, road surfaces and parking,
• Enabling businesses to take an active role in the management of their area through Business Management Associations,
• Tackling fly-tipping, graffiti and litter working closely with councils and landowners,
• Advising businesses on environmental issues, for example, using energy in a cost effective way, or recycling and dealing with waste efficiently.
