Community safety
Key issues for businesses are crime prevention, the safety of their employees and customers. The Business Against Crime project (BAC) exists to promote a partnership approach between businesses, the police and local authorities. PRP works with businesses to:
- Develop a strategy to tackle and prevent crime,
- Promote Park Royal as an area where businesses take action to tackle crime,
- Promote crime prevention measures, improve security and risk management,
- Represent business concerns to local authorities, the police and other crime prevention agencies,
- Establish a BAC scheme with businesses in your immediate vicinity.
Park Royal Partnership’s Crime and safety group meets on a regular basis. The group includes businesses, police and local authorities, and is a forum in which issues are raised and projects or solutions to reduce crime on the estate are formulated. For information call Jeremy Glanville-Jones on 020 3110 2385 or contact us.
We would encourage all businesses to report crimes, no matter how trivial you think they might be. Failure to report crime can only impact on the level of policing in Park Royal.
Each ward in Park Royal has a local police Safer Neighbourhood Team. For contact details, go to http://www.met.police.uk/saferneighbourhoods
To report non-emergency crime, report to your local team or go to http://www.online.met.police.uk
To report environmental crime in your local area please contact your local council (see links). There is advice on fly-tipping and street cleaning on the estates management section of this website.
