Voting Intentions Summary – November 2010 – March 2011
Within the proposed BID Area we have identified 717 eligible businesses. During the Formal Business Consultation Process between November 2010 – March 2011, we received feedback from more than 28% of the eligible businesses. Through the regular consultation meetings that we have organised in the last few months, we have also had engagement with a number of businesses that have not completed the business survey. Based on the feedback that we have received the initial results of the Consultation Process are:

Project Preferences – Top 10 Priorities for the Park Royal BID based on votes:

  1. Transport - Measures to unblock traffic flow by better phasing of signals, modifications to road junctions and creation of better and more secure parking
  2. Transport - Improve access for goods vehicles.  This will include; more legible signposting, providing secure parking, highlighting exit routes and assisting businesses install improved loading and unloading facilities
  3. Environment - Provision of recycling services for local businesses on the estate
  4. Transport -  Provide alternatives to car use, where possible, through more reliable and frequent bus services, safer walking and cycling routes as well as better access to rail and tube stations
  5. Area Management - Identification of vulnerable areas within the estate and installing extra lighting
  6. Security - Installation of CCTV cameras across the BID Area, centrally monitored and controlled to maximize security and safety
  7. Area Management - Graffiti and fly tipping removal services, faults and related services hotline for businesses
  8. Security - Provision of additional services including static and mobile patrolling and surveillance, e.g. private security measures
  9. Area Management - Lobbying on behalf of businesses, liaison with local government and related agencies
  10. Value Added Services - Efforts to assist joint procurement opportunities to provide cost saving options to businesses, e.g. waste management
