Longer term projects

As well as projects to improve transport services in and around Park Royal: Wembley-Park Royal Fastbus, North Acton station improvements, Grand Union Canal, Workplace Travel Plans, Park Royal Partnership is also involved in longer term projects:

	First Central We also work with developers to improve public transport services as part of their planning agreement with the local authority. Diageo are leading the way in this area, as they will be providing a brand new Underground railway station in the Western Gateway area of Park Royal. This will be built as part of the development programme to improve the sustainable transport offer.
	Crossrail Crossrail is a strategic railway proposal that would link Maidenhead and Heathrow with Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east through new tunnel under Central London. Accessibility to Park Royal will be improved with a stopping service at Acton Mainline. Subject to final approval from Central Government, it is now estimated that Crossrail could be operational by 2015.
